Sports association of Northern Savo (Pohjois-Savon Liikunta ry) is a regional organisation of Finnish Sports Federation (SLU). The association was founded 7.10.1997 and started its operations at 1.1. 1998. There are 46 founding members and nowadays association has 127 member-associations. Sports association of Northern Savo offers experiences, happenings and education in the field of physical activity for citizens of Northern Savo in all age groups.

Sports association of the Northern Savo organizes courses for different associations and organizations. Courses for sports instructors and sports coaches, sports camps for kids and health improving exercise are also part of our field of work. We also organize large events related to sports and fitness.

The main sector of our work is taking care of interests of sport in our region and working as a regional headquarters for different sports.

The wide field service produced by Sports association of the Northern Savo covers many different sectors of operations related to sports.

Our office located in the centre of downtown Kuopio offers services in financial management, posting and copying. Our office also rents well equipped conference room for meetings.

Trough us you can find national calendars for skiing and athletics. We also have a large material service, for example log sheets for competitions and training logs for different sports.

Trough us you can also purchase fitness testing services and equipment, sound systems and commentator services for different competitions and matches.
